NATURE COVER STORY 期刊封面故事展

─ 謹以本展覽獻給熱衷科學研究的中山人 ─

《Nature》期刊創刊於1869年，是全球知名的國際科學週刊，創立150年來，貫徹並堅持其原創性、重大性、跨學科影響力、時效性，發表世界頂尖的學術成果。其中收錄多位近代科學家如查爾斯·達爾文、阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦，以及當代科學家如史蒂芬·霍金、桑德拉·迪亞茲等文章。

Nature期刊封面設計是由Nature資深編輯和主編，共同挑選能代表當期最重要或最具新聞價值之研究成果，交由美術部門設計與主題相呼應之藝術封面圖像，極具觀賞價值。能夠成為Nature期刊封面故事，是研究成果得到高度認可的代表。

本次展出的20幅海報，精選由Nature官方授權2016至2019年的封面及封面故事，內容包含人工智慧、生物醫學、元素週期、天文科幻、地球暖化、環境保護等主題，掃描海報QR Code，可連結到期刊封面故事文章。

為慶祝本校40週年校慶，特舉辦「Nature期刊封面故事展」，希望藉由展覽的方式，帶領觀賞者了解國際頂尖期刊刊載內容，進而增進科學探索精神、啟發科學研究新思維。

Nature was founded in 1869 and has been one of the world 's premier scientific journals. Over its 150 years of existence, it has published the most modern and advanced scientific discoveries and research results; it includes numerous works of the giants of science, such as Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, and Sandra Díaz.

The theme of Nature' s covers are decided by senior editors and the editor-in-chief, who choosed the most important and newsworth stories from each set of research findings. Afterwards, its covers would be designed by Department of Art. These worth looking covers are designed according to every period of theme. Being able to be served as Nature'covers is seen as a high recognition.

National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) has selected 20 covers and their stories from Nature between 2016 and 2019. Academic publisher, Springer Nature, who has authorized NSYSU to display covers and cover stories from issues of Nature between 2016 and 2019. Subjects of cover stories include AI, Biomedical Science, The Periodic Table of Elements, Astronomy, Global Warming, and Environmental Protection.

Holding this Nature Cover Story exhibition for NSYSU 40th anniversary celebrations, we hope to inspire interest in scientific thinking; thus using eye-catching, viewer-oriented designs will give exhibition goers a better understanding of the cutting-edge trends and developments in international science.
